Domestic Companions

The late master potter Lari Robson was a friend of mine. I have a large collection of his pots. They occupy every room in my house. They are present every minute of my home life. When I decided to create a photographic essay of groupings of the pots, I discovered that by de-focusing the image, each piece emanated a brooding personality of its own, such as one might feel from human or animal companions. This seems appropriate for the role they play in my life.
